The Social Welfare Council (SWC), Government of Nepal invited NCCN to represent the Christians in Nepal at an inter-religious consultation organized by the Council on 29 July 2007.

The representatives from Hindu, Buddhist and Christian communities were present in the meeting which was organized in order to discuss about the role of religious communities in Peace building and social transformation. Following the discussion a committee was formed under the convenership of Dr. D.R. Khanal, the Vice Chairman of the Council, to give continuity to this process. In near future the committee will organize inter-religious conferences in all five regions of the country.
